Australia’s Premier Pop Culture Research Network

PopCRN is an international hub for scholars exploring the profound impact of popular culture. With collaboration spanning over 25 countries, our interdisciplinary approach dissects the dimensions of pop culture, delving into its influence on identity, societal norms, and cultural evolution. Through innovative, cutting-edge research, we aim to deepen understanding and advance scholarly discourse on the intricate interplay between popular culture and contemporary life. Join us in unraveling complexities, fostering intellectual exchange, and contributing to the forefront of pop culture studies.

We host around four online conferences each year, free and open to independent scholars, postgraduate students, early-career researchers, experienced academics, and researchers.

PopCRN is responsible for publishing the International Journal of Popular Culture Studies, a new, double-blind, peer-reviewed, free, online journal (coming soon).
