About the Journal

The Journal of Popular Culture and Material Studies (JPCMS) is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal publishing traditional articles which are, concise and well-written contributions to the study of popular culture and material studies. JPCMS also invites contributions from innovative research ideas and non-traditional research outputs.  JPCMS has a double-blind, pre-publication peer review policy. Authors are advised to familiarize themselves with the current state of popular culture studies before submitting.

In addition, JPCMS publishes book reviews, notes, queries, special issues, and reports relevant to advancing popular culture studies. JPCMS publishes special editions each year in their Icons, Eras, and Spaces series’.

JPCMS is completely free, there are no fees to submit, publish in, or access JPCMS. Authors of all articles in JPCMS retain all copyright and publishing rights without restrictions. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, display, or link to any work published in the journal, subject to proper attribution of authorship, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author(s).
